Lone scout whittling

Our BSA troop: Lone Scouts

What are Lone Scouts?

Lone Scouting is an official branch of the BSA. It allows people to join scouting even if there isn't a troop nearby. In Lone Scouts, the troop can be just one or two families, and the parents can be almost all of the leaders. When other troops are planning an event, however, the Lone Scouts can join. Any requirements that say 'with your troop/patrol (or pack, depending on the scout's rank)' can be rephrased to say 'with your family'. It is extremely useful for americans living overseas, as they can do most things with their family.
